Dear Parents, Alumni and Friends,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you as I begin in my new role as president of the Frisch School Board of Trustees. I am honored to be serving The Frisch School in this capacity, as, like many of you, I know what an incredible place Frisch is and how important it is to our students, their parents, and the Jewish community at large.
As the summer comes to a close and we prepare for the Yamim Noraim. Our students, teachers and staff are returning to Frisch with great anticipation for another very exciting school year. I am sure that you join me in looking forward to an incredibly exciting and productive year for our students.
Over the summer months, our very talented and dedicated administration, faculty and staff, led by Dr. Kalman Stein and Rabbi Eli Ciner, have tirelessly planned for the new school year. New programs, curricula and activities are in place to ensure that our students receive the very best education in both Judaic and Secular studies. Our Transition committee is working closely with Dr Stein and Rabbi Ciner to insure a seamless transition when Rabbi Ciner assumes the position of Principal of our Yeshiva next September. Our lay leaders have also been busy setting up committees to support our professional staff in the most synergistic way possible.
While we are proud of where we are today, we are always striving for improvement. We look to our extended Frisch School family for help and participation. Those parents who are returning to Frisch already know that this is more than just a school – it is a community made up of students and teachers, parents and alumni, grandparents and friends. We are extremely fortunate that many of you have already chosen to contribute your talents in ways that have been extraordinarily beneficial to our students. We thank you for your participation, commitment and shared vision. Many of you have also contributed generously to our various fundraising campaigns. Without your generosity we simply could not continue to do what we do and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. For those who have not yet become involved, I ask that you give of your time and your resources to Frisch; to volunteer, to participate and to donate.
Tuition alone does not cover all of the expenses associated with operating a wonderful yeshiva like Frisch. Funds are necessary to pay our exceptional faculty and staff, to meet the needs of our scholarship families, to continue to provide amazing programming both inside and outside of the classroom and to maintain our beautiful campus. Our incredible, state-of- the-art campus is also not yet fully funded, and numerous meaningful naming opportunities remain. When Rachel Roth, our Director of Development, or members of the Board of Trustees, call on you later in the year to contribute to our Annual Dinner, the Scholarship fund, the Building Campaign or any of our other special fundraising events, please open your hearts and your checkbooks and respond as generously as you are able.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me ronnie.schlussel@frisch.og or our Director of Development, Rachel Roth rachel.roth@frisch.org We welcome your comments and suggestions.
I wish each and every one of you a Shanah Tova U’Metukah.
Ronnie Schlussel,
President
